Weight loss/gain: The LSWC will place no emphasis on, or recommend any, weight adjustments for the purpose of competition. ALL WEIGHTS will wrestle in tournaments.

Tournaments: LSWC will participate in various tournaments in the immediate and surrounding area – with emphasis on more local events. All tournaments are optional to wrestlers. All wrestlers will compete based on age (in two year increments) and weight (normally in five pound increments).

Equipment: Members will be loaned singlets for tournaments, but are responsible for purchasing their own shoes and headgear by the third week of practice.

Coaching: Head Coach Mike Gempeler has a staff of qualified, certified adult coaches appropriate to handle the size of our registration. Youth members can expect a great deal of personal attention and hands-on demonstration. The Club also enjoys the volunteer assistance of members of the Lee’s Summit High School Wrestling Program.

The Lee’s Summit Wrestling Club is group of dedicated amateur athletes and adult volunteers, committed to training and competing in the sport of wrestling in the state of Missouri.  We work in close partnership with the Lee’s Summit High School Wrestling Program, and support the ideals and philosophies of High School wrestling in our activities and training.  ALL YOUTH are welcome and encouraged to join, regardless of their High School affiliation.
